On the edge of Pilton lies a series of fields enjoyed and used by many people. Following a 4 year campaign to protect Manning’s Pit, the fields were up for sale. The community had an opportunity to buy this wonderful patch of green space, and a campaign was launched in order to raise enough funds to permanently secure the land for generations to come. It warms my heart to say  the campaign was successful, and the community now owns Mannings Pit.
