By trade I am a commercial drone operator, photographer and videographer, however I also document important stories and scenes, some of which illustrate examples of how humans are changing our planet, and the effect these changes have on the natural world.

On the edge of Pilton lies a series of fields enjoyed and used by many people. Following a 4 year campaign to protect Manning's Pit, the fields were up for sale. The community had an opportunity to buy this wonderful patch of green space, and a campaign was launched in order to raise enough funds to permanently secure the land for generations to come.

In the rush to save exotic species we sometimes ignore the animals closest to home. Hog Hope is a lighthearted documentary film illustrating the tireless efforts and dedicated work of the South family. Situated in a back garden in Newquay, Cornwall, this unique family have created Prickles and Paws Sanctuary, a safe haven for 75 of these prickly inhabitants in an attempt to save one of Britain’s most loved species.

The increase in Human populations mixed with Elephant’s inquisitive nature has resulted in the rise of crop raiding incidents. However, a few years ago it was discovered that elephants are scared of bees. This knowledge has been put into use, through the erection of bee hive fences around the farms. This has reduced the crop raiding by up to 90%, while allowing farmers to receive extra income by selling the honey they harvest. This is a fantastic solution, which provides a level of integration between both the farmers and the community, while allowing both Human and Elephant life to peacefully coexist.

Just 10 miles south of Gibraltar, lies Africa's most northerly country. Full of hawkers selling everything under the sun, from the edge of the street to being right in the midst of the souks. The vibrant energy felt throughout the old medina of each town and city never stops to breathe. The streets of Morocco truly are an insult to the senses, but nonetheless an unforgettable experience.

Aerial imagery provides us with an entirely new perspective. In the last few years the significant increase in access to affordable drone technology has meant there has also been an increase in the misuse of drones. However, when used correctly, the applications for drones are limitless. These images illustrate my love for capturing this new perspective with both coastlines and countryside.
